Leo F. Wells III pioneered a disciplined office real estate investment philosophy of low debt, high-quality tenants and long-term leases that has allowed Wells Real Estate Funds, in its history, to invest more than US$11 billion in real estate for more than 250,000 investors.

A 30-year veteran of the real estate brokerage, sales, and management industries, Mr. Wells is recognized as an industry expert on REITs and is sought after by the media and industry speaking circuit. He has been a frequent guest on ABC, CNBC, MarketWatch, Fox Business News and Bloomberg Television. His insights have been featured in numerous publications including Money, Investor’s Business Daily, Pensions & Investments, Financial Planning, The New York Post, The Wall Street Journal and The Wall Street Transcript. He also is the national winner of the 2003 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the financial services category. He was honored in 2006 with the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business. In 2009, his company was named Atlanta’s “Best Place to Work” among mid-sized companies by the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Also in 2009, the Southeastern Chapter of the Real Estate Investment Advisory Council (REIAC) inducted Mr. Wells into its Hall of Distinction at Georgia State University.

Mr. Wells received his BBA in Economics from the University of Georgia. The degree of Doctor of Divinity was conferred upon Mr. Wells by the Trustees of Carver Bible College in May 2010.

In his spare time, Mr. Wells enjoys travel, photography, bridge and golf. His international travels include mission trips and National Geographic expeditions.
