Lee S. Neibart
AREA Property Partners
Mr. Neibart is the Global CEO of AREA Property Partners (formerly known as Apollo Real Estate) and has been involved in all phases of the firm’s development since its founding in 1993. At AREA, Mr. Neibart has overseen the investment and management of 15 real estate funds and joint ventures, which have invested US$8 billion in more than 400 transactions with an aggregate value in excess of US$30 billion. Mr. Neibart sits on the Investment Committee of all of AREA’s active Opportunistic, Value-Added and Debt funds.
Mr. Neibart’s real estate career began in 1974 in the mortgage loan business at the Prudential Life Insurance Co., where he joined its real estate arm when it was formed. From 1989 to 1993, Mr. Neibart was with the Robert Martin Company, most recently as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Robert Martin was a real estate development and management firm with a portfolio of approximately seven million square feet of commercial real estate.
Mr. Neibart is a Director on various boards relating to AREA’s investment portfolio. Mr. Neibart also serves on the advisory boards of both The Enterprise Foundation and The Real Estate Institute of New York University. He is also a past President of the New York Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks. Mr. Neibart graduated with a BA from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from New York University.
